Triangle Blues Society Blues Jam at BoneDaddy’s Hideaway

The Triangle Blues Society hosted a Blues jam on April 15th at BoneDaddy’s Hideaway (605 Creekside Dr Raleigh). I was invited by Randy (a member of The Triangle Blues Society) to come out, meet the band, see the show, and have a few cold beers. It seemed fitting to go see the blues on tax day so I loaded up my stuff and hit the bricks.
Tonight it was the host band preforming, which consists of Josh Preslar on vocals and guitar, Mike Davis on vocals and harmonica, David Aduddell on bass, Tom Harris on drums, and Clark Stern on keys.
I met a few of the members before the show and they all seemed like good folks who were ready to get it on. I really liked the venue they picked for their jam, BoneDaddy’s which had plenty of character and a down home feel (and the beer was cheap and ice cold). Josh kicked the show off just past 8 and filled the room with a rich deep blues sound. All the band members culminated together to bring a bit of the Mississippi Delta to Raleigh. I will admit I do not know a lot about Blues music but as I have learned many times over you do not have to be well versed in a particular music genera to enjoy it and that held true for me tonight.
The whole scene had a great vibe and so I would recommend to anyone who would like to take in a good blues show to catch the Triangle Blues Society jam which is held the third Thursday of every month at BoneDaddy’s Hideaway.
